UNITED PARCEL SERVICE

UPS Authorized Shipper Program

UPS was the first carrier in the US to create a program specifically to support the retail shipping network. The UPS Authorized Shipping Outlet (ASO) program allows retail shipping stores to offer the full line of UPS products and service to the general public.

ASO locations receive program-specific pricing and benefits and are required to offer all UPS products and service to their customers. ASOs are expected to represent the UPS brand in a professional manner and provide excellent service to all UPS customers.

How to apply for ASO Status

Authorized Shipping Outlet (ASO) accounts are provided to all PackageHub®, Annex Brands, PostNet, Pak Mail and The UPS Store franchises as part of the franchise national account contracts.

Independent stores that are not a part of a Franchise system will need to apply with UPS directly (instructions below), however, chances of approval are slim unless your store is in a very rural location not yet covered by one of the previously mentioned franchise systems or and existing ASO location.
